MASTS Community Projects
Both the MASTS Themes and Forums are outward looking and inclusive of any members of the MASTS community with relevant interest. However, there are occasions where smaller more targeted pieces of work are the most effective way of delivering strategic aims. This is recognised in the MASTS structure by the possibility of forming smaller more targeted "Community Projects". These projects can be proposed by small group of colleagues intent on a more focussed piece of work with a more limited membership.
Current MASTS Community Projects:
- SIORC - Sharks, skates and rays in the offshore region and coastal zone of Scotland. (SIORC - gaelic for shark)
- The salmon genome project - linked to the Sustainable Aquaculture Forum
If you have an idea for a community project, please discuss this with the relevant theme or forum leader in the first instance. You can also contact Prof David Paterson to discuss your idea.
