Marine ecosystem assessment for the Southern Ocean, 9-13 April 2018 – Hobart (Australia)
The Marine Ecosystem Assessment for the Sourthern Ocean (MEASO2018) International Conference and Policy Forum will be held in Hobart, Australia from 9-13 April 2018. The conference is one of the core activities of ‘Integrating Climate and Ecosystem Dynamics in the Southern Ocean’ (ICED), a partner program of IMBER and SCAR; and is co-hosted by the Australian Antarctic Division and the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre. A call for abstracts on one of the following themes is now open:
Ø Assessments of status and trends in habitats, species and ecosystems, and the causes of change
Ø Responses of species to changing habitats, including ocean acidification, sea ice and temperature
Ø Modelling and analytical methods to assess status and trends
Ø Implementation of observing systems to estimate dynamics and change
Ø Delivering science into policy: needs, expectations and delivery
